DESCRIPTION:Zoom sur…\nOrson WELLES\nGénie précoce du théâtre new-yorkais et vedette de la radio, Orson Welles s’impose très jeune comme un créateur hors norme, à la fois acteur, metteur en scène, producteur, adaptateur, directeur de troupe, spécialiste et vulgarisateur de Shakespeare. Après des débuts tonitruants et devenus légendaires avec Citizen Kane (1941), chef-d’oeuvre visionnaire et film-manifeste d’un cinéma profondément personnel et novateur, il est rapidement marginalisé par Hollywood, trop libre, trop audacieux. Commence alors une carrière de cinéaste décousue et mouvementée, marquée par des oeuvres abîmées par leurs commanditaires mais aussi de nouveaux chefs-d’oeuvre tels que La Soif du mal (1958) ou Falstaff (1966).
